Nga Whainga

As an experienced kaiako and leader in education, I’ve witnessed the immense pressures placed on our profession. Over the past decade, I’ve seen too many incredible educators leave the field. You know why. Something has to change.

At Tātai Hono Consulting, we believe that change begins with Professional Development—focused on you. While learning about curriculum, behaviour management, and learning needs is important, we want you to focus on the one constant in all of it: yourself.

The Haerenga | Six Months of Elevation

This six-month journey is designed for wāhine Māori educators who are ready for small, meaningful steps toward lasting change. Here’s what’s included:

  1. One-on-One Whanaungatanga: Start with a 60-minute session with Rochelle to explore your aspirations and goals. Together, we’ll identify the key to lightening your load.
     

  2. Wānanga:
     

    • Two wānanga—one at the start and one near the end of the haerenga.
       

    • For those choosing our Tahiti rōpū, the second wānanga will be a week-long immersive experience in Tahiti.
       

  3. Optional Online Course:
     

    • Short 10-minute kōrero packed with practical mātauranga Māori.
       

    • Potent activities designed to create immediate impact in your mahi.
       

  4. Twice-Weekly Mentoring & Coaching:
     

    • Optional live coaching sessions with Rochelle.
       

    • The more you engage, the greater your return on investment.
       

Investment

​

The total cost for this six-month haerenga is $5,000 (exclusive of GST). This includes nearly full-time access to a supportive community and coach.

​

Compare this to a two-day PLD conference costing $2,000—this haerenga offers sustainable transformation that benefits not just you but also your kura and whānau.
